CIPnet Training on Technology Transfer for Chinese Universities

The third China Intellectual Property Management Network (CIPnet) Training event is scheduled to take place in Tianjin, P.R. China, on November 7-8, 2019. The event will be hosted by Law School of Nankai University.

The topic of the Training Event is Technology Transfer for Sustainable Development - Contracts and the Triple Helix. The programme will consist of workshops delivered by trainers from the CIPnet partner universities – Maastricht University, the Netherlands and the Jagiellonian University, Poland. The Training will include a brief presentation of EU-China IP Academic Network to the participants.

The content of the Training will be as following:

  • Module 1: Contracts in IP management. Focus on licence agreements 
    • Trainers: Dr. Dariusz Kasprzycki, Associate Professor, Intellectual Property Law Chair, Jagiellonian University, Poland, Dr. Justyna Ożegalska-Trybalska, Associate Professor, Intellectual Property Law Chair, Jagiellonian University, Poland
  • Module 2: Public-private partnerships and technology exploitation
    • Trainer: Prof. Meir Pugatch, Professor of Valorisation, Entrepreneurship and Management, Maastricht University, the Netherlands
  • Module 3: Private international law aspects of international research cooperation
    • Trainer: Prof. Dick van Engelen, Professor of Intellectual Property Litigation and Transaction Practice, Maastricht University, the Netherlands
  • Module 4: The UN Report: platform industries and technology transfer
    • Trainer: Prof. Anselm Kamperman Sanders, Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Director of the Institute for Globalisation and International Regulation, Maastricht University, the Netherlands
  • Module 5: Universities legal clinics
    • Trainer:  Prof. Anselm Kamperman Sanders, Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Director of the Institute for Globalisation and International Regulation, Maastricht University, the Netherlands

All modules will be followed by workshop on practical implementation, integration and training (all speakers) & follow-up.

The event is addressed to managers, directors, leaders of TTOs, persons involved in commercialization and management of IP at Chinese universities.

Participation is free but places are limited, so registration is required. To register, please email cipnet_tjtraining@163.com by October 31, 2019. All participants will receive certificates confirming participation in the Training.
